Take note when placing your order.
Look at the weight of each bale. Our bales are packed very heavily. While you can pay less per bale at a local auction, pound for pound, you are paying less through Full Swath Harvesting.
Look at the quantity of your purchase. Generally, we sell our hay and straw in bundles of 21 bales. A quantity of 1 = 21 bales. Sometimes, we will have smaller quantities available.
All orders must be paid in full before quantities are committed. Sadly, about 10% of the checks we receive are bad, causing us to spend a significant amount of time trying to recover funds. You are welcome to load money to your Full Swath Harvesting account via cash or check for any future purchase.
Look at the type of hay you are purchasing. Not all animals need the same mixture of roughage. Different types of plants produce different amounts of starches and proteins, which can vary from cutting to cutting. This means you could feed an alfalfa hay mixture and feed less quantity, with the same result as feeding a grass hay mixture in a greater quantity. We test each of our yields and share those results so that you can make the most informed decision for your feeding program.
